I love that moment in the design process where I get a vision that I’m excited about, and know exactly what I’m going to paint. My second favorite part is seeing people wearing my jackets out in public. That will never get old.
As I have gotten older and have developed some sensitivities to chemicals and really strong smells. I ended up having to give up candles a few years back because the headaches and nausea that they were causing me was just not worth it to me anymore. Once the pandmeic hit and I had a lot more time on my hands I was able to dive and research why I was having such strong reactions to these things.
I have always been creative and had a great support system always cheering me on. I knew I wanted to be my own boss and really just decided post college to give it a go and start my business while working multiple other odd jobs to keep my bills afloat!

Hydrosols are aromatic waters extracted from fresh plant material. We hand-harvest plants from local farms + forests around the Massachusetts Southcoast then slowly steam distill our harvest until a gentle aroma-therapeutic water results.
I was taught by my grandmother to both knit and crochet, and later joined a knitting club in elementary school where one of my teachers helped me to practice the basics after school. I have been practicing and creating throughout the years, and then in August 2018 I took the leap to make a business out of this pastime.
Making soap became that therapeutic outlet for me. I love that I can make something that is both useful and beautiful. Something that also has the added benefit of making bathing into a luxurious ritual. (I think any parent will tell you: shower time is sacred.) I look forward to that time alone at the end of the day as much as I look forward to creating a new soap!
I went back to art school when I was 26 because I knew I needed to find a way to thrive on my passion. I genuinely enjoy marketing and delivering my prints and original artwork to the warm, encouraging people who buy it.
The biggest challenge is something we've all faced: the pandemic. I haven't been able to photograph performances or work with groups, which is a large part of what I do. I haven't been able to travel much either. So instead I started focusing on shooting around my own neighborhood and shooting with dancers virtually.
I literally LOVE what I do! From making products, to attending market events, to sharing our business mission and talking about why our products are just so damn' good - it's extremely rewarding. If I had to choose one, my favorite part is the scent testing / selection process.
